On behalf of West Coast Minor Ball Hockey Executive and all our Minor Associations in our Province, we would like to wish all returning and new players, their families, coaches, referees, scorekeepers and league executives to the 2012 season and another great year of minor ball hockey in BC. We have exciting events coming up this season within our Province and as always if you are interested in volunteering and helping out in any capacity and amount of time you can help with. Call for Head Coaches for our Provincial Program in the U17 & U19 Divisions
With the 2012 Junior Nationals being held in Vernon, BC, WCMBHA of BC will be sending two teams in the U17 Division and two in the U19 Division. As we have our coaches in place for the U17 BC Thunder and the U19 West Coast Express, we are taking applications from coaches interested in the second squads for these divisions. These teams as they will be competitive, are Development Teams that will compete against all provinces in their respective division. Upcoming 2012 WCMBHA of BC AGM
The WCMBHA of BC has set a date for the 2012 Annual General Meeting. The meeting will take place February 23rd at 6:30 Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex Multi purpose room #2 16555 Fraser Highway, Surrey. All members within BC are encouraged to attend. For more information feel free to contact the WCMBHA of BC President at preseident@wcmbh.com and watch this site for additional information. Positions up for WCMBHA of BC Executives and will be voted on are: Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of Coaching.

2012 Open Tryouts for
U15, U17 & U19 Provincial Teams
In early April the U15 West Coast Wolverines, U17 BC Thunder and the U19 West Coast Express will hold Open Tryouts for ball hockey players that were looking to make a BC team to compete at the upcoming Junior Nationals this July 31st to August 5th in Vernon, BC. After three open tryouts - coaching staff and scouts will determine through watching house games who will be invited back for final INVITE ONLY camps in early May.
This year there is one U15 Team, two U17 Teams and two U19 Teams for BC competing at the Junior Nationals against other provinces. Watch this page/website for Tryout dates and locations. Information will be posted by mid March and sent to local associations as well.

Congratulations to our local BC boys that were named to Junior Team Canada Program
It is with great pleasure that in September 2011, the Junior Team Canada rosters were set for the upcoming U16 & U18 World Championships in Pisek and Strakonice, Czech Republic from June 18th to 23rd, 2012. The following players will travel overseas for two weeks to train and take on the world. The U16 squad is looking to become the first "Three-peat" Junior team to win Worlds as they won in 2010 in Most, Czech Republic and in Zvolen, Slovakia in 2008. For the U18 they are looking to regain Gold as the team settled for Silver after a overtime loss in 2010.
