Current 2012 Provincial Rules & Regulations:

Here are the tournament rules, please ensure each of the provinical teams have with them 5 game sheets that each player has played on. Also we have a coaches and referee's meeting prior to tournament at location TBA. The coaches meeting will be from 7:00-7:45pm and the referee’s meeting will follow. This is important and we should ensure all coaches are at the meeting no exceptions. Let us all remember it's about the kids and WCMBH will ensure that any type of poor behavior will NOT be tolerated at anytime. Make sure you post this on your websites

TOURNAMENT RULES:
1) The only player allowed to be added to the roster in a goalie. This player must play goal. There are no other players allowed to be added to the rosters.
2) All Coaches please report to the Tournament Office one half hour before the game, to pick-up the game sheet.
3) All games played under C B H A & WCMBHA of BC rules. Only players on the Teams Roster list are eligible to play.
4) Please have your teams ready to go on the floor at the scheduled time.
5) HOME TEAM; -will be responsible to change sweaters if there is a conflict in colours
-will wait until the visitor has left the floor before they leave the floor.
6) Time of Game: Two (2) periods stop time. (Minor, Major & Junior, 2x20 minute periods). (Peanut, Pup, & Peewee, 2x15 minute periods). Five minute break between periods.
7) No overtime in Round Robin Series, Win (2) points, Tie (1) point, Loss (0) points.
8) Any player receiving a Fighting Major or a Match Penalty will be suspended for the rest of the tournament. Team Officials receiving a Game Misconduct, will be suspended for one (1) game. All suspensions will carry over to Western Challenge Cup, Nationals and to the following season.
9) In the event that two (2) or more teams are tied at the end of Round Robin play, the following procedure will apply:
(a) Record between the tied teams, (from games involving only the tied teams)
(b) Greatest number of wins.
(c) Greatest possible difference of goals for & against.
(d) Highest total of goals for. Please note: for the purpose of +/- ratios, a team cannot achieve more than seven (+7) goals in any one (1) game.
(e) Least amount of penalty minutes.
9) Overtime in Play–off & Final games:
If overtime is necessary the periods will be 10 mins in duration. This will be a first goal win situation.. For the 1st overtime period the teams do not switch ends. If there is a 2nd period of overtime period required the teams will switch ends. If there is a 3rd overtime period required then they switch ends again. There will be a 3 min. break in between the overtime periods.
10) “MERCY RULE�� If there is a seven, (7) or more goal differential the clock will go to running time.
11) The referee’s decision is final, and there will be no protests after the game.
12) Team Officials are responsible for ensuring their dressing rooms are left neat & tidy.
13) “HAND SHAKE �� at the end of the game.
14) Any appeals must be filed in written form within 2 hours of the completion of the game. The appeal fee is $50.00. If the appeal is successful, the money will be refunded. If the appeal is not successful, the appeal money will become the property of WCMBHA of BC. The outcome of the appeal is considered final.
15) WCMBHA OF BC will supply the off-floor officials. There may be the odd occasion where that will not happen and we will require a qualified volunteer from each team to assist with the score keeping.
