It's true! Team Canada enjoyed the Slovak
water better with True Lemon and True Lime
If you are looking for an alternative to sugar filled drinks while your trying to perform at your best, True Lemon and True Lime is a great way to add to your water, making it a refreshing drink. On a recent trip to Slovakia for the World Ball Hockey Championships, players along with team staff of the U16 & U18 Team Canada squads found that drinking water on its own was hard to swallow. By adding True Lemon or True Lime to the water, it gave the water a satisfying taste that everyone trying it enjoyed. True Lemon & True Lime is an original crystallized lime substitute made with 100% all-natural ingredients and is available in convenient packets to add to water bottles and can also be used for cooking, baking and seasoning. True Lemon & True Lime contains no natural or artificial sweeteners, preservatives or sodium. True Lemon & True Lime was also present at the 2008 Western Challenge Cup as samples for ball hockey players to try. Later in the year our U17 & U19 BC teams took True Lemon & True Lime along to the Junior Nationals in Halifax, Nova Scotia where many team members found it to be a nice addition to the bottled water before, during and after the game and back in their rooms at the hotel between games. U18 Team Canada Assistant Coach Gary Slavin said he has had many flavored waters that have been on the market, but all of them because of either sugar or sweetener gives the water too much of a sugary taste and most times takes over the actual flavor. "Sometimes I have even used brands like Real Lemon and Real Lime to add to water, but I found that using the True Lime and True Lemon packets was the best way to get a hint of true lemon and lime flavor." said Slavin. "Best of all, I know I am not taking in all that sugar content when I add these packets," added Slavin. Many players enjoyed using the packets - tear open the packet, pour it in your water bottle, give it a shake and you now have a refreshing drink. True Lemon and True Lime will be going back on the road in 2009 with the BC Minor teams and in 2010 with Team Canada traveling to Austria. The packets are small enough to tuck into small side pockets of player bags for traveling and with no sweetness, no calories, no carbs, no preservatives, no artificial taste, just straight citrus everyone will enjoy it.
